North Bungalow forms the north wing of the larger Dunnottar house and has approximately 1,905 sq. ft. of living space. The layout is self-contained, with a separate entrance and private interiors for your group. It works well for guests who want the comfort of a private bungalow while still being part of the wider Dunnottar estate on Kodaikanal Lake.

Breakfast is included for every guest. Lunch, dinner, tiffin, grill, and wood-fired pizzas are available on request and charged separately. Tea, coffee, and pantry access are available through the day, and meals can be served indoors, outside in the garden, or to your room, depending on the day’s arrangements.

The house is looked after through the day, with daily housekeeping, laundry service, fresh towels, luggage help, and house staff on site.

THE ESTATE
ONE ACRE BY THE LAKE
Guests staying in the North Bungalow have access to the one-acre Dunnottar estate, with lawns, garden paths, patios, hammocks, bicycles, bonfire spaces, and the wood-fired pizza oven. If the South Bungalow is also occupied, the outdoor grounds are shared. Guests who want the full property and grounds privately can book the Whole Bungalow.

The Sun Room looks out towards the trees, while the fireside living room gives the bungalow a quieter indoor centre. The dining room is made for long breakfasts, tea, board games, and meals from the bungalow kitchen, with the feeling of a family home rather than a hotel suite.
