South Bungalow forms the south wing of The Dunnottar and has approximately 1,700 sq. ft. of living space. The layout is self-contained, with a separate entrance and private interiors for your group. It works well for guests who want a three-bedroom bungalow with generous living spaces, direct access to outdoor areas, and the feeling of staying within the wider Dunnottar estate on Kodaikanal Lake.

Sleeps up to 8 guests across three ensuite bedrooms: The Rose Library, The Boiler Room, and The Old Study. The bungalow also includes open living and dining spaces, a study, Wi-Fi, room heaters, and updated bathrooms.

Guests have access to the one-acre Dunnottar estate, including lawns, garden paths, patios, garden terraces, hammocks, bicycles, bonfire spaces, and the wood-fired pizza oven. The South Bungalow also opens onto its own patio and garden terrace. Its lakefront position gives guests easy access to walks around Kodaikanal Lake, nearby cafés, Bryant Park, and the boating area.
If North Bungalow is also occupied, the outdoor grounds are shared. -
Breakfast is included. Lunch, dinner, snacks, tiffin, grill, and wood-fired pizzas are available on request and charged separately.
The Bungalow Manager and team are on site to help with meals, bonfires, transfers, taxis, and practical questions.
