The Dunnottar Bungalow is on Lake Road, Kodaikanal 624101, Tamil Nadu — directly on Kodaikanal Lake.
Bryant Park, Kodaikanal Boat And Rowing Club, The Kodaikanal Club, the bazaar, and the cafés are a few minutes' walk from The Dunnottar. Madurai airport is about 115 km (3–3.5 hours by road), Coimbatore about 165 km (4.5–5 hours), and Kodaikanal Road railway station about 80 km (1.5 hours). Transfers can be arranged on request with advance notice.
The climb from the plains to Kodaikanal usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. When you reach Kodaikanal, the lake is the first major landmark. As soon as the lake comes into view, take the road to the right and cross the bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left. Follow the road as it curves around the lake, keeping the lake on your left. After about 2 km, The Dunnottar will be on your right.
