DIRECTIONS
The Dunnottar Bungalow sits directly on Kodaikanal Lake, on Lake Road.
The climb from the plains to Kodaikanal usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. When you reach Kodaikanal, the lake is the first major landmark. As soon as the lake comes into view, take the road to the right and cross the bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left. Follow the road as it curves around the lake, keeping the lake on your left. After about 2 km, The Dunnottar will be on your right.

The lake path starts outside the gate. Bryant Park is a kilometre away, fifteen minutes on foot and mostly flat. Coaker's Walk and the bus stand are both 1.3 km. The Boat House is 1.6 km. Kodaikanal Golf Club is 6.0 km by car, by Upper Shola Road and Golf Links Road. Madurai airport is 115 km, about three and a half hours by road.

There are different ways to approach Kodaikanal depending on where you are coming from and how you choose to travel, but the last 60 kms climb up the mountain has to be done by car. If you are doing part of your journey by Air or Train , we can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the following locations with a minimum of 48h notice: Kodai Road Junction, Madurai, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, and Dindigul.
